A few students thought that after finding out the cost for a week they could simply double the number and figure out the cost for two weeks. Was this the correct approach?

- Finding the mean of 3 consecutive numbers always turn out to be the middle number!
- The mean of 4 consecutive set of numbers is never a whole number
- The mean of an odd quantity of whole consecutive numbers always seem to be the middle number
- The mean of an even quantity of whole numbers is always half way between the middle two numbers
