Measurement - Finding Volume

 Students confirmed their volume estimates by measuring the dimensions of the actual objects (except the loaf of bread!)

We continued our exploration of volume in Literacy class.

Some ss figured out the task. Most ss want to know if the volume must be exactly 343 & a few want to know if there can be multiple answers

Since there were multiple answers, we measured the dimensions as a whole class. This was a learning moment and an opportunity to review the formula for volume.

Volume = area of base x height OR length x width x height We then moved on to the day's task.

 We came up with many different dimensions!
