On Tuesday, November 8th, the Member of Parliament for
Brampton South - Mrs Sonia Sidhu - paid a visit to
our school. Her visit is part of the Bring Your MP to School Day initiative by
UNICEF Canada. The aim is to have children’s voices and concerns heard by
parliamentarians to advance the civic education of Canada’s youngest citizens
and help inform decisions that affect youth.
Having children engaged with the political process and having their voices
heard is vital to having healthy communities and a strong democracy. Thanks Mrs Sidhu!
